A&R Logistics Inc, a leading provider of dry bulk transportation, packaging, distribution, and logistics solutions in the United States, received the 2013 Safety and Excellence Award from BP Petrochemicals on February 7.
The award was in recognition of A&R’s quarter-to-quarter service to BP on safety, operations and planning performance, communication, and administrative support.
The award was presented by Jim Evans, manager of North American Trucking, BP Petrochemicals at A&R’s offices in Morris IL, located approximately 60 miles southwest of Chicago. Receiving the award was Ken Pate, vice-president of Safety, A&R Logistics. He was accompanied by Paul Sweeden, A&R consultant, and Norm Buck, director of customer solutions.
Dan Jaworski, A&R senior vice-president of sales and marketing, said: “Performing safely each and every day earns you the right to operate and stay in business; providing quality service is what enables your business to thrive.”
A&R announced earlier in January that it had achieved its best safety score to date on the Compliance, Safety, Accountability (CSA) program.
