The Gas Company adds 25% more propane storage in Maui with new facility

The Gas Company (TGC) added 180,000 gallons of propane storage on the island of Maui in Hawaii. The expansion represents a 25% increase in TGC's propane storage capacity on the island.

"This new facility represents TGC's commitment to reliability of service and improved energy security for Maui," said Mustafa Demirbag, general manager of The Gas Company in Maui County. "It enables us to meet the growing demand for clean gas energy while providing ample supply for customers' needs. The existing and new tanks can provide up to five weeks of clean gas energy for Maui customers." The company also plans to increase storage capacity on the islands of Oahu, Hawaii, and Kauai.”

During the dedication ceremony for the expanded facility, TGC recognized Demirbag on the anniversary of his 18 years of service to the company. In TGC's spirit of giving back to the communities it serves, in conjunction with the dedication of its new storage facility, the company presented a check for $5,000 to Hale Makua Health Services. The organization's mission is to provide excellence in health care in their home and in the homes of its clients.
