Werts Welding & Tank Service Inc, a leading supplier of tank trailer parts in the United States, is celebrating its 60th year in business.
Werts Welding & Tank Service was founded in 1957 in Wood River IL by Robert and Verna Werts. They were joined in 1977 by their son, Dwight Werts, who is now the company’s president and chief executive officer. The third generation, Dwight’s son Nick, is now an integral part of the business.
In years past, the Werts family found it necessary to expand to better serve their customers, so in 1991 they opened a branch in San Antonio, Texas, and have continued to grow since then with the opening of locations in Birmingham AL, Atlanta GA, and Tampa FL in 1997; Des Moines IA in 2011; Billings MT in 2012; and Denver CO in 2013.
With eight locations stocked with the best parts and staffed with the most knowledgeable trailer sales and service employees in the nation, Werts Welding & Tank Service is poised to continue to grow and take care of customers’ tank trailer needs.
