Tremcar acquires Hutchinson Industries

Tremcar Technologies, Montreal, Quebec, Canada, has acquired Hutchinson Industries Canada Inc, Toronto. Hutchinson, founded in 1918 by W J Hutchinson Sr, specializes in tank truck manufacturing for the petroleum refined and related products. Tremcar manufactures stainless steel tank trailers and aluminum and carbon steel dry bulkers.

Tremcar manufactures stainless steel tank trailers and aluminum and carbon steel dry bulkers.

With the acquisition, Tremcar expects to increase production by 25 percent and add 25 jobs, bringing total employment to 105. The Hutchinson facility contains 60,000 square feet. Tremcar has invested in high-tech equipment and plans to reorganize production. In addition, Hutchison will provide repairs and service.
