Cytranz Inc, Indianapolis IN, has announced that Jet Star Inc, Zionsville IN, will be implementing the company's load access and delivery environment (LADE) system to improve its security in delivery of jet fuel and other petroleum products.
When LADE is used in conjunction with a global positioning system (GPS) installed on board vehicles hauling hazardous materials, all authorized trading partners and governmental authorities have the ability to track the shipment in real time. LADE provides information regarding the load content, and driver and truck identification. The system can generate and transmit emergency alerts should the truck be placed in peril. Cytranz has presented the LADE system to the Department of Transportation in response to the department soliciting solutions for tracking hazmat shipments.
