The College of Engineering at the University of Washington is offering three one-day continuing education courses for fleet professionals. Fleet Facility Maintenance and Design will be offered March 15, 2001. Vehicle Fleet Management will be held March 16, 2001, and Effective Shop Management will be held March 17, 2001. John Dolce is the course instructor. Author of three books on fleet maintenance and management, Dolce has taught fleet management seminars worldwide.
Fleet Facility Maintenance and Design tells how to assess a facility to achieve ultimate performance. Shop layout and administration as well as traffic flow and single-versus-multiple shifts will be discussed.
Vehicle Fleet Management examines management functions and responsibilities relevant to fleets. Participants will learn techniques through activities using planning, organizing, evaluating, prioritizing, implementing, tracking, and follow-up.
Effective Vehicle Shop Management provides information and techniques on how to reduce expenses for shop operations. This workshop will review actual cost savings areas involved in management of the vehicle shop from both a shop and a corporate perspective.
Registration includes materials written by Dolce, refreshments, and a certificate of completion granting .7 CEUs (continuing education units) from the University of Washington.
