Dixon Valve & Coupling Co is touring the United States with its new training trailer. Dubbed Mobile Connections, the 35-foot trailer is a complete training and product center on wheels. Since its debut at the annual meeting of the National Association of Hose and Accessories Distributors in April 2004, Dixon's trailer has traveled to 11 western states, with future plans to visit all other regions of the nation.

Besides appearing at industrial distributor locations for open houses, the Mobile Connections trailer has traveled to numerous end-user locations such as mining facilities, steel mills, and chemical plants. Along with training individuals on proper product selection, hose assembly installation, and safe operating usage, a Hose Assembly Safety Center within the trailer introduces Dixon's Hose Assembly Safety Survey Program. As a part of this safety program, qualified Dixon technicians conduct a review of a facility's hose assemblies and other fluid handling systems, earmarking areas of possible safety concern and suggesting remedies.

The Mobile Connections trailer also incorporates a Product Display Center presenting the entire family of Dixon products and components, including all Dixon brands: Boss, Bayco, Bradford, American Couplings, Dixon Fire and Perfecting Coupling Co.
