International Intermodal Expo, Transcomp set for November
The Intermodal Association of North America (IANA) annual membership meeting and International Intermodal Expo is being co-located with the National Industrial League (NITL) Exhibition at Transcomp 2002. These events will be held Nov 16-19, 2002, at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim CA. In addition, the Transportation Intermediaries Association (TIA) will again be holding its annual fall meeting at the event.
Educational sessions will cover a range of transportation and logistics issues from “Intermodal Freight Flows, Trends, and Challenges” and “Truck Capacity: What is the Future” to “Developing ‘Plan B’ and Knowing When to Trigger It” and “Transportation Public Policy Challenges.” The Expo and TransComp exhibitions will include 300-plus exhibitors showcasing products and services on more than 200,000 square feet of floor space.
The International Intermodal Expo and Transcomp 2002 will also feature a keynote from Steven L Miller, chairman, president, and chief executive officer of Shell Oil Co; and the annual Freight Transportation and Awards Luncheon. Industry honors to be presented include the McCullough Logistics Executive of the Year Award, IANA's Intermodal Achievement Award, and IANA's Silver Kingpin Award.

NTTC slates fall meetings of Tank Truck Safety Council
National Tank Truck Carriers Inc (NTTC) has announced that the fall regional meetings of the Tank Truck Safety Council have been scheduled for 2002. A one-day meeting will take place at each of the regional sites; a block of hotel rooms has been reserved for the evening before the meeting date. NTTC is charging a registration fee of $75, to be paid prior to the meeting. This includes a morning continental breakfast and luncheon.
All fall regional meetings will be open to tank truck personnel interested in safety. NTTC membership is not necessary. The upcoming schedule is:
Southern Region — October 24, Holiday Inn Downtown — Superdome, New Orleans LA
Eastern Region — November 20, Ramada Inn, Airport, Philadelphia PA
